TEACHING-LEARNING ACTIVITY from MEDGIDIA – ROMANIA IN THE PERIOD 5-9 DECEMBER 2022

During the third project meeting, “Innovation and Learning through Play,” our partners from the schools in Turkey and Poland participated.

The meeting was attended by 17 representatives from the partner schools in Turkey and Poland, as well as the 20 students from our school involved in the project activities, along with the teachers of the project team.

During the 5 days, there were integrated lessons using innovative teaching methods based on computer programs, workshops at universities in Constanța, non-formal activities in the natural environment, debates on common computer programs used in mathematics, biology, and chemistry, as well as in the technology classes for the specific areas of the school.

The activities began with the reception of the guests and the presentation of the delegations of the partner schools, as well as exercises for mutual acquaintance. After participating in the specific STEAM classes, they were invited to the assembly hall, where representatives from each partner institution presented electronic materials containing relevant information and images about the school/locality/region/education system in the country of origin.

During the project meeting, the participants observed interesting applications in the field of robotics, identified the characteristics of ecosystems in the Danube Delta, and participated in viewings of the operating mode in the fields of electronics, automation, and maritime in the simulation and laboratory rooms at the “Ovidius” University and the Maritime University of Constanța. In collaboration with representatives of the Maritime University of Constanța, the project teams participated in a documentary visit to the port of Constanța, where they observed the specific port activity but also received information on the history of the development of the city of Constanța, an important economic objective of this area.

According to the statements of the partners, it was a remarkable experience, both for students and teachers, based on good collaboration, but especially thanks to the professionalism shown by our team.

The students and teachers of the school made an important contribution to the realization of attractive and integrated activities in the specific objectives of the project, which aim to improve school performance for STEAM disciplines and the integration of didactic games in the realization of efficient lessons to achieve school progress.
