LEARNING TRAINING TEACHING ACTIVITY IN ANTALYA–TURKEY, FEBRUARY 20-24 2023

The learning, teaching, training activity with the theme: STEAM and Boards Games, took place in Antalya, Turkey. The activity was organized by the partner schools in Turkey, Özel Antalya Vizyon Koleji Anadolu Lisesi and Ozel Adalya Anadolu Lisesi, between February 20-24, 2023. The activity in Antalya was attended by our school team consisting of 3 teachers and 4 students and the school team Polish, high school in Bialystok, Zespol Szkol Technicznych i Ogolnoksztalcacych z Oddzialami Integracyjnymi im. Stanislawa Staszica.

During the activities carried out in Antalya, at the 2 schools, the students watched how to use IT applications and games to integrate knowledge from the scientific subjects studied at school (mathematics, sciences, physics, biology, new technologies) into practical applications. Through the activities implemented in this project, students are encouraged to get more and more involved in experimental learning, in solving problems and to work more and more in teams.

The activity carried out in the schools of Antalya was a remarkable experience, both for students and teachers. Teams of students and teachers participated in attractive and integrated activities, in accordance with the specific objectives of the project, which aim to improve school performance for STEAM subjects and the integration of didactic games in making effective lessons for achieving school progress. During the project meeting, the participants witnessed mathematics, physics and history lessons, which use computer applications, digital tools to make the teaching and learning process more efficient. The integration of game-based learning methods into the specific contents of STEAM subjects was exemplified by the collectives of students and teachers in which the project teams integrated, at the two schools in Antalya.

The objectives of our activity also aimed at achieving mutual knowledge and effective communication between students from partner schools, establishing friendships so that students will continue their exchange of impressions and ideas through modern, virtual means. The accumulated experience was also complemented by visits to important historical and cultural sites in Antalya.

The students gained new knowledge about the culture, history and traditions of an important country in the European space. This new activity demonstrates the effectiveness of our school’s participation in European projects, leading to the development of the European dimension at the level of our school and prestige within the local community.
